From our students to new students
For new student, it's been said before, but it is worth repeating, fly as often as
you can and stay current. Don't let lapses of 2 weeks affect your learning. And
most of all “have FUN!” ....Frank
In terms of addressing new pilot-students…I would say…try it, understand it, use
it and have FUN doing it and never settle for anything that’s only “good enough” ....Mike
If I was to say anything to a new student, it would be to not feel overwhelmed in
the first few lessons. There is a lot of information to absorb in the first few hours,
but it quickly becomes committed to habit and routine. Also, fly as often as possible.
If there is more than a week or two between lessons, it's more difficult to sharpen
your skills as you get out of routine. However, once past the initially steep learning
curve, the lessons become more fun as you become more relaxed in handling the plane. ....Kyle
Just read the account of your trip to Pearson. Absolutely fascinating and what an experience. And to think of that little aeroplane amongst the giants at Pearson. An amazing achievement. Regards, Mike, December 2010
Thank you for the award last Sunday at the open house. It's nice to be appreciated, even for the small things. Kyle, November 2010
Love the names of the aircraft by the way... Barb, November 2010
You guys did a bang up job on hosting your open house. I was truly impressed, as were others I talked with, about your efforts and ideas for the event. CONGRATS! Frank, November 2010
Thank you for invitation and award (Open House). Everything was nicely and brightly done. Joe, November 2010

Your November 1st newsletter looks great. Story by Hiu Lam Yau, very interesting. George, November 2010
I continue to enjoy your newsletter! Flavelle, November 2010
Thank you for the very informative radio course, very professionally and well done. Matt, October 2010
Thanks for the newsletter, I found it interesting about the colours (I didn't know) Dave, October 2010
Most of the content you provided in weather course was touched on in ground school, but the way you put it all together, gave me a better understanding of all the key factors influencing our weather. This helps me to better understand and maybe do my own forecasting. That's what it's all about. I want to be as professional and responsible a pilot that I can. I feel the course has given me a better understanding of the weather and I will continue to read more and better myself and make the right decisions. Thanks again Bob. Frank, September 2010
The weather course was very informative and the applied knowledge with aviation is extremely helpful. It fits nicely with what I have to do with the online ground school. I was particularly interested in the questions participants were asking...Bob.....I should have expected that you are such a good lecturer. You presented the material very professionally and in a manner that is easily understood... Tia, September 2010
I just wanted to pass on to you, that the weather course you taught was well done. Larry, September 2010
I saw your newsletter, and I really liked it. It seems that you had a lot of fun and lots of plans going on… Ana Maria, June 2010
Great newsletter. The photos were excellent and I'm sorry I wasn't able to make it to the plane wash / spot landing contest. Flavelle, June 2010
My family really enjoyed the Plane Wash... Scott, June 2010
Plane Wash Picnic: You guys did a great job in organizing the day. It is always nice to get together with other pilots to chit-chat and have fun. Now I have to practice those spot landings for the next time. Frank, June 2010
The Radio Communication Course was very well presented and very helpful. I hope there will be more courses to come. Slav, May 2010
Great course (radio communication course)! It was a great review and I learned some new things as well. Scott, May 2010
Bob, just wanted to thank you for an excellent hour in the air. What a great experience! ...It looks like I’ll have to get the rest of my family to go up with you and I’ll be recommending you to anyone who’s looking for an adventure in the sky. Mark, April 2010
Just read the newsletter. Love it. You do a great job. Frank , April 2010
Bob, Just a short note to say thanks for today's lesson. I had read the Training Manual earlier on how to do crosswind Take Off & Landing, but until today when I actually experienced (what I considered an extreme crosswind component) with your assistance, it all comes together. Nothing you read and don't actually experience does not sink in. Today was a great experience. Thanks for your encouragement. Frank, February 2010
Winter Flying Course: I enjoyed it and have already applied a few of the tips I picked up. Scott (member) February 2010
The Survival seminar with Scott was great! He really had done a lot of prep. for the talk, and I liked all the exhibits / books he brought with him.
Great newsletter (January 2010).....really enjoyed Dave Olston's story (somewhat similar to mine) and the full write up of Ted's highway landing. Very attractively laid out newsletter ! Flavelle (member) January 2010
The Winter Flying Course was extremely interesting. Frank, 12/2009
Thank you both Bob and Ted for a very interesting and well presented course. While the topic itself was extremely informative your added comments, insight and willingness to share your experiences made all the difference... thanks again... Mike, December 2009
I love flying at Edenvale and I very much enjoy the entire environment. The worst thing that could happen to me is that you guys don't enjoy economic success. I will refer potential students to you, and I will make every effort to be a client for a very long time. Chip, November 2009
